Clayton R. PetersonLFACHE (Lifetime Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives)![]() Clayton (Clay) Peterson began his term with St. Joseph's Area Health Services Board of Directors in Park Rapids on July 1, 2008. Backed by a wealth of administrative experience in healthcare, his leadership skills have played a role in creating community medical care that achieved national acclaim for quality and cost effectiveness. In addition to his work as a Board of Directors member, Peterson also serves on St. Joseph's Quality Improvement Committee. Among his gifts is the ability to recognize the need "to place organizational goals above personal and professional goals." Peterson's previous administrative experience includes: Mercy Hospital and Health Care Center, Moose Lake - President/CEO (2003-2005), Director, Area Health Education Center (2002-2003); Long Prairie Memorial Hospital and Home, Administrator (1996-2002); Health Dimensions, Inc., Cambridge, Senior Consultant (1996); Allina Health System, Minneapolis, Vice-President, Regional Health Services (1987-1995); and Cambridge Medical Center, President CEO (1978-1994). He is a past Chair of the Minnesota Hospital Association, former Delegate/Alternate of the American Hospital Association and served on the Bush Medical Fellows Policy Board. Peterson invests his talents in community service and has served as Little Sand Lake Association President, Bethany Lutheran Church President, Long Prairie Chamber of Commerce (Chair), Long Prairie City Council (member) and as part of Todd County's Hispanic Liaison Advisory Board, Kiwanis Club of Moose Lake and Rotary Club of Long Prairie. |
