Community Dental Clinic

St. Joseph's Area Health Services took an innovative leap when it combined the services of a dental clinic and community health. St. Joseph's Area Health Services Community Dental Clinic's purpose is to treat disease, eliminate pain, establish function, educate, and refer as necessary. Its mission is to provide quality dentistry in a pleasant professional atmosphere for Minnesota public program patients.

This clinic provides care for persons who have a Minnesota-provided insurance plan. Minnesota residents currently enrolled in one of the these programs will qualify for services:

  • MinnesotaCare with dental coverage
  • Medical Assistance
  • GMAC
  • VA patients with prior Veteran's Administration approval
Certain Hubbard County income-eligible residents also qualify for reduced-rate dental care. Call 732-4436 for more on this program.

Services

A wide range of services is offered at the Community Dental Clinic. Our patients receive a comprehensive exam, which includes all necessary X-rays and any other diagnostic information. A treatment plan is then established. Services provided may include restoring diseased and/or decayed teeth, removing unrestoreable teeth, full and partial dentures, and all preventative services.

Preventative services include cleanings, sealants on children's molars, fluoride treatments, and oral hygiene instruction. When necessary our staff dentists complete surgical services on site or refer patients to the appropriate specialist.

St. Joseph's staff has also received training to accommodate dental surgery.

In addition to work at the Community Dental Clinic, staff work to educate on an outreach basis, getting their message to students in area schools.

Community Dental Clinic's dentists are: Dr. Michael Carter, DDS; Dr. Rod Meyer, DDS.
