St. Joseph’s employees rise to challenge

Members of St. Joseph’s Wellness Committee pack 889 pounds of food in the back of a pick-up truck to haul donations from St. Joseph’s employees to the Hubbard County Food Shelf. Employees were invited to participate in a five-week challenge inspired by the Survivor television series. Every week they face new “challenges” pertaining to wellness such as wearing sunscreen, dental hygiene, driving safety, nutrition, and exercise. Teams donated a total of 943 food items as part of the ultimate finale challenge. Because giving is good for the spirit, all who participated were rewarded with that million-dollar feeling.

Delivering the food were members of wellness committee including (from left) Eileen Froelich, Gail Haller, and Amy Erickson. Any employer who would like to learn more about the challenge and educational materials used by St. Joseph’s can call Amy at 218-237-5531.
