"Quality healthcare is an important asset in any community," says St. Joseph's Area Health Services President/CEO Ben Koppelman. "That's why we have established a foundation to build a partnership between the community and St. Joseph's to make it as successful as it can be. Community support helps to fund mechanisms for healthcare, especially when you want to provide exceptional care."

St. Joseph's receives support for programs through its own fundraising efforts for hospice and the scholarship fund, and relies on the hospital auxiliary for donations towards needed medical equipment or facility improvements. St. Joseph's vision is to significantly expand and improve facilities.

St. Joseph's Area Health Services has established a foundation comprised of people who have an interest in healthcare and improving it. Under the direction of a Board of Directors, the Foundation is working to raise funds to meet St. Joseph's building and ongoing needs. Their current goal of raising $2.5 million to support the building project is underway. More than $1.5 million has been raised to date, and efforts continue.

You can help St. Joseph's Area Health Services Foundation by:

• Donating cash, real estate, securities, personal property
• Deferring gifts such as bequests, life insurance, or trusts with charitable provisions
• Giving special gifts in memory of a loved one, in honor of living friends or family members, or to commemorate a special occasion
