Foot Care

Foot care clinics are offered from 8 to 11 am at various locations throughout Hubbard County. Cost is $27, and individuals are asked to please bring their own basin and towel.

I CAN Prevent Diabetes

One in three US adults has prediabetes. That means their blood sugar levels are higher than normal putting them at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.

I CAN Prevent Diabetes! is an evidence-based prevention program that can prevent or delay your changes of getting type 2 diabetes. Taught by a Public Health Nurse, this 16-week class meets once a week to help you create a healthy lifestyle and reduce your risk for disease.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is a free class available to older adults interested in improving their balance, strength, flexibility, and reducing the likelihood of falling.

This 12-week course is offered through CHI St. John’s Health Community Health in partnership with Land of the Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging, Mahube-Otwa, and SHIP.

Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance involves a set of eight coordinated movements practiced in a slow, flowing motion. Research shows that people who complete the program are half as likely to fall and are less fearful of falling. To participate, you must be able to walk, even if it is with canes and walkers. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing.
